Ok, the first year of law school is done and over and behind me. You can't imagine my glee and exictement (ok, maybe you can if you went to law school too).
Now I am faced with one of the toughest decisions since starting law school. Do I transfer or do I not. Please don't get me wrong, I love my current school. From the other students, to the faculty, to the location, to the cost (ok maybe not the cost...LOL). I have to weigh the costs and benefits of transfering. Is the "known" better than the unknown, will I do well in the new school, will the transfer have an adverse effect that I am not expecting. I just don't know what I want to do yet. I'm fairly sure there are people out there like me, and I know for sure there is one that was glad to pull the cord and get out, but Im convinced my feeling is the probably the most common.
If you are in this same boat, let me tell you that there are others. I know in my school I am definately not the only person looking at transfering, so be sure to find others or at least someone who is willing to talk.
That is all I have for now, I just thought I would jot down some thoughts and fears for the moment.
Congratulations to all my classmates on finishing the first year. Now we get to face the "work you to death" year together, LOL.
Till later...
Cheers

Hey congrats on the opportunity to transfer. It's a tough decision. There are definite pro's to the other school and pro's to sticking around. I would look at myself internally and my future desires to make that decision. One thing I keep thinking about is where do I want to practice in the future.
Congrats congrats!!!!
